We are rehoming June because our resident dog has not been able to adjust to having another dog in the home. Despite a successful initial meeting, our older dog is experiencing ongoing stress — including refusing food, difficulty sleeping, and constant anxiety. We have carefully evaluated our space and recognize that our home is not large enough to safely and comfortably separate them long-term. June is the BEST who deserves a peaceful environment where she can fully thrive, and we do not want her quality of life limited by circumstances outside of her control. This decision has been incredibly difficult, but it is being made with the wellbeing of both dogs in mind.
June is a happy, affectionate, and energetic young dog who brings so much joy wherever she goes. She thrives at daycare and does wonderfully in social environments, showing that she enjoys being around other dogs and staying active. She still has some puppy tendencies but is an incredibly fast learner and improves every single day. June already knows basic commands like sit and lay down (and “down” when she isn’t too excited!) and is mostly potty trained- she even rings a bell to let you know when she needs to go outside. June is very playful and almost always has a toy in her mouth (especially if it squeaks!) She would do best in a home that can match her energy level and give her plenty of playtime, enrichment, and continued training. She is currently learning leash manners and working on not jumping when excited. One of June’s favorite things is going on car rides, and she loves being near her people — whether that means following you from room to room or joining you on everyday adventures. She is incredibly loving, eager to please, and has so much potential to grow into an exceptional lifelong companion. June would thrive with an owner who is ready for an active, smart, and affectionate dog and who will continue nurturing the wonderful foundation she already has.
No health concerns, doesn't play nice with smaller dogs but can get along with them at times.
