Why rehoming?

Our grandchild was bitten by a different dog recently. Our grandson is at our house frequently & we don't want to risk this happening again. Tucker has never bitten, but when our grandson reached for his hair, he snapped towards his hand. I fear he may do this more as he ages, & when the baby is mobile & more intrusive. We are also retiring soon & plan to travel frequently.

Adoption Summary

Tucker was gifted to our high school aged daughter 13 years ago. After college & marriage, Tucker stayed with us. He does great with cats & dogs during Rover stays. He's extremely playful & remains very active despite his age. There are no signs of slowing down! He doesn't go on walks very often, & does his business in our fenced in backyard. Accidents are rare. He barks only when someone arrives at the house. He roams the house freely day & night. He is a delightful & easy dog to have around.

Behavior or Health Concerns

Heart murmur since age 4. No symptoms or concerns. Many teeth were removed a few years ago. He has a few "old" dog warts under his fur.
