Like I said before, I am rehoming because I don't think that I am giving Bruno enough attention, focus, and energy. This is mainly due to my busy schedule and other pressing responsibilities at work, around the house, etc. I think Bruno deserves to be in a home where his owners can just give him more attention, time, and energy.
Bruno does really well around other animals (except chickens, as he killed 6 of our chickens). While on walks and runs he leaves other dogs alone and will not chase squirrels or rabbits unless given the opportunity to do so. We also have a baby at home and Bruno does really well with him. He has never bit him and I have never had the concern that he would. Bruno enjoys walking, running, chasing squirrels, barking at racoons and opossums at night, and being pet. He will take as much time as you give him and will give you much affection. Being a Blue Heeler, he has a ton of energy, so I find it helpful for his health and happiness to take him on runs as much as I am able to. Bruno is a very good dog and would love more attention and time than I can currently give him.
Bruno overall is a pretty well-behaved dog. He knows all his commands. However, I think he is needing more attention than I can give him at the moment, especially with the expectations I want from him. We adopted him back in February to help protect our backyard chickens from the overwhelmingly out of control local fox population. He was pretty successful with deterring foxes and other predators, however, he has killed 6 of our chickens, which defeats the purpose of why we adopted him. He spends most of his days leashed in the backyard next to his doghouse with plenty of food, water, shade, etcetera, but I think he is needing more attention and care than I have time to give him. I think he would do well in a home where his owners can give him more of the time, attention, and energy than I can give him. Being a puppy still, there are some other behavioral occurrences that he had. He peed inside our house on a couple occasions and on the topic of potty training he has a very nervous bladder and cannot hold his pee when he gets excited. I have tried working with him on this, but with little success so far. That is really the only commonly occurring concern that I have with him, other than that he is a good dog. He also does really well with other people, he does well on a leash while walking/running, and he does really well with children and even babies.
